How does Bowl for Kids' Sake Work?

It's simple. Everyone who signs up gets a sponsor sheet. Then, it's just a matter of getting sponsors or raising funds through special projects. Friends, family members and local businesses can sponsor your bowling. They may pledge any amount. Each bowler should secure $75 or more.

How is the money used?

Bowl for Kids' Sake is a local fundraiser. That means all the money given by your sponsors stays right here and benefits your local Big Brothers Big Sisters agency, and the kids in your community.

Does it matter how well I bowl?

No. Whether you're a non-bowler who can't reach 100, a casual bowler, or a pro, your participation helps the agency. The idea is to get involved and get others involved. Bowl for Kids' Sake is fun and it's for a great cause - KIDS!

Who Supports Bowl for Kids' Sake?

Local businesses support Big Brothers Big Sisters by supporting Bowl for Kids' Sake. Staff, "Bigs" and "Littles" and their families also help out to make sure each event is a success. Bowl for Kids' Sake is endorsed by the Professional Bowlers Association.

What is Big Brothers Big Sisters of America?

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is a national federation with more than 500 affiliated agencies throughout the United States. Founded in 1904, Big Brother Big Sister volunteers have introduced boys and girls to new horizons and fun experiences and memories that last a lifetime.

A cornerstone of the Big Brothers Big Sisters philosophy is this: the time an adult spends one-to-one with a child makes a difference in the child's life. Each one-to-one match between a Big Brother or Big Sister and a Little Brother or Little Sister is supported by professional agency staff, with a special focus on the child's needs.

A national study proves that our work helps children improve academically, avoid drug and alcohol abuse, gain self-confidence and improve relationships with others.
